Decorating the Condo

Sun May 17, 2009, 7:39 PM
The two people who responded to my last journal both said they wanted to see those Elvis Snake cartoons so they are uploaded to my gallery.

I've also started framing some of the antique car pictures. So far I have 3 done.

And since my boyfriend's grandmother is coming to visit the condo for the first time this upcoming week we finally put some work into decorating the walls. We got some nails to hang up my collection of masks from around the world. We also hung up the antique car paintings to fill in some of the gaps on our walls. I mean, they were available :)

So our condo is now decorated, even if the 2 themes are a bit odd. World masks and antique cars? Oh well. And when I do sell those paintings at the end of the summer (if all else goes well) I'm planning to bring back a lot of my grandmother's paintings to fill in the empty spaces again. Except for one spot in the living room, I've decided that I'm going paint an large painting of some sort of African scene. All of the masks hanging in the living room are African, so that seems the most appropriate. I'm not sure of what to paint yet, but I'm sure I'll find something. I have time anyway.

I'm happy to finally have my masks and artwork on the wall. :)

Have you ever heard of Camerin Carpenter? He is a vertuoso organist and I DA keeps screwing up the url when I try to post it. Just go to You Tube and search "Camerin Carpenter". Then click on his video entitled "Revolutionsetüde, op.10". This guy's pedalpoint is amazing!

Emperor Paplatine: "Are you sure?"

Darth Vader: "I have... felt him... my master."

Emperor Palpatine: "Strange that I have not..."
You're right, that is pretty impressive. Luckily the hands are too complicated. Best I was ever able to get with my footwork (back when I was playing regularly) were slow quarternotes with an occasional eighth note. I had one hymn that required me to keep my feet fairly active that way...it was my favorite hymn to play too because it sounded so cool.
